He is Deeper Still

"We walk by faith, not by sight."

Most likely if you are here, you already know us because we are not exactly famous enough for people to find us randomly. However, just a quick update on who we are and why this blog.

We are about as normal as a family can get. Well, if that family consists of two high school sweethearts who got married one month after graduating, are more in love than ever, have 10 children and lives on the mission field. That is our normal. As of today, we have been married over 35 years, have 10 children, three daughters-in-law and two grandchildren. We are going on our 13th year of being full time missionaries living in Boliva and have been in ministry for 31.

We, Joe and Denise, will both be writing blogs about our lives, our thoughts and our experiences in our family, in Bolivia, and just in case. 🙂

The title of our blog comes from a famous quote by Corrie Ten Boom. Actually, by her sister, Betsie. She admonished Corrie to tell the story of God’s love and forgiveness to everyone. Speaking from the Ravensbruck concentration camp shortly before she died, Betsie pointed out that even in the very depths of despair, God is deeper still. The key to a life of walking by faith is knowing that truth. God is with you and before you. In the last year we have truly discovered that God is deeper still…always and forever.

Some of our posts will be serious.

Some will be insightful.

Some will be humorous.

Some will be glimpses into our lives.

Some will be theological.

Some will be pointless. Joe will write most of these.

Our desire is that from our writings, your life can be somehow touched, hopefully enriched and perhaps changed for the better.
